Main open area consists of various seating and reading areas, dining area, bar, curio shop and guest bathrooms. Views overlook the Ghoha Plains and a productive water hole at the foot of the hill. Library with books on animals, flora and fauna are available to read at leisure either at your chalet or up at one of the many relaxing spots at the main guest lodge.
The Ghoha Hills Savuti lodge has been designed to take full advantage of the view. Whether dining in the guest areas, taking a swim or sitting on the balcony of the luxury tented rooms, guests of Ghoha Hills Savuti are spoilt with privacy and beautiful scenery.
Each luxury tented room sleeps two people, offers en-suite facilities and breathtaking views of the African plains (Which can even be enjoyed from the shower). The luxury tented rooms have private viewing decks which can be used to enjoy the untouched wilderness. Flasks of hot water with coffee/tea are also avalaible in the rooms. The lodge also has 2 luxury family-size tented rooms that sleep four and are suitable for two adults and two children.

What to Expect
Each luxury tented room offers its own private viewing deck and superbly appointed furniture and fittings complemented with lime-washed, wooden floors. Guests can expect an array of lavish touches when visiting the Ghoha Hills, Savuti lodge:
Each luxury tented room has its own cupboard with hanging space as well as shelves, a luggage rack, desk with a torch & coffee table magazines. Comfortable armchairs to enjoy the views or catch up on some reading.
Elegance and authenticity define our cuisine. Each meal is a graceful culinary event, featuring African-inspired themes and locally sourced ingredients.
Breakfasts are hearty and coffee, tea, home baked rusks and biscuits are ready for the early risers at the boma. Home baked biscuits, bread rolls, pastries, cakes and scones are on offer at tea times.
There is always a friendly and helpful staff member on- hand to serve up a freshly brewed bodum of coffee. All meals are served overlooking the bush in the main guest area.
The boma is lit in the evenings where guests can enjoy pre-dinner drinks. At dinner, wholesome, home cooked meals may be enjoyed. Lunches, dinners, drinks, refreshments and picnic lunches are all included.
Picnic baskets are provided on game drives and enjoyed whilst admiring the African wilderness. Private and intimate dinners are catered for.

Guests usually arrive at Ghoha around midday or later in the afternoon, they can join us for high tea in the main area. Here you will be introduced to your guide and he will take you on a sunset drive along the private road network around the lodge. This will end at the scenic Baobab site with breathtaking sunset views and sun-downers served. Photographers as well as nature lovers will experience a very unique landscape during sunset, which is usually filled with Elephants, Giraffes and Roan Antelope to name a few.
If an afternoon drive is not what you are after, you can relax in our private thatched viewing deck overlooking the water hole. From this private elevated setting you can view the arrival and movement of a wide variety of game, quenching their thirst in the pan. Some of the sightings may include Kudu, Impala, huge numbers of Elephant, Giraffes, Roan Antelope, Steenbuck and Buffalo. You might also spot the Ghoha pride of Lions that roam mainly between the lodge and this waterhole, as well as Spotted and Brown Hyena.
On a two night or longer stay most guests choose the following activity. The exact sequence of the day depends on guests requirements, preferences and sightings.
After Enjoying an early continental breakfast at 06h30, guests will depart from the lodge around 7am and return in the late afternoon (depending on the guest’s needs and different sightings).
The first stop and stretching point will be the Cathedral of Baobabs with some outstanding photographic opportunities.
A professional guide will ensure that you are exposed to all the different landscapes and wildlife the area has to offer. A full day safari includes waterholes, marsh area, baobab stretching points, riversides and grasslands. Just to name a few: Harvey’s Pan, where so many animals roam daily, the Savuti Sand Ridge, the Kudu Hills, Quarry hill and rock climbing to get a close view of the Bushmen Rock Paintings, seeing the Pimple Hills as well as Twin Hills. Visiting the the Twelve Baobab theater on the way.
At around midday there is a well presented picnic bush lunch along the river bank awaiting you.
The drive will then continue further showcasing the wonders of the Savuti Marsh with its magnificent herds of Buffalo and Elephant, in addition to many other species of game and bird-life will be found.
En-route back to Ghoha hills in the afternoon a late afternoon refreshment stop at the local pan or thatched viewing deck, may be the order of the day.
Throughout the day, depending on nature, there will be sightings of Elephant, Lion, Giraffe, Leopard, Roan antelope, Kudu, Warthog, Buffalo, Impala, Waterbuck, Cheetah and a collection of bird species.
Enjoy an early continental breakfast at 06h30 and departing from the lodge around 7am. After a leisurely drive with your ranger, you will have tea in the marsh. On your way back to the lodge have lunch in the thatched viewing deck at the lodge’s private waterhole. Our waiters will await you at the thatched viewing deck with a lovely set up and serve lunch. Here while relaxing you will view the movement of various animals (Elephant, Giraffe, Impala, Kudu, Buffalo etc) and birds at the water hole until you would like to be taken back to the lodge.
