Day 1: Johannesburg/Thornybush Game Reserve
Upon arrival at OR Tambo International Airport (Johannesburg International Airport) you will be met by our representative, and assisted onto your scheduled flight to Eastgate Airport in Hoedspruit. From here you will be transferred by road to Chapungu Luxury Tented Camp situated in the beautiful Thornybush Game Reserve.
Modern day adventurers can now journey in the footsteps of the great explorers and rediscover an era of private safari expeditions into the heart of Africa by sleeping under canvas.
Chapungu Luxury Tented Camp is a small, charming thatched lodge in the heart of the Thornybush Game Reserve, offering a friendly and olde worlde colonial atmosphere. The Camp is tastefully furnished in colonial splendour and offers safari enthusiasts an atmosphere reminiscent of the style and class of that bygone era complete with great cuisine and impeccable service.
Each day is planned to suit guest preference, with game drives in search of the Big Five, bush walks or bird watching.

Day 3: Thornybush/Tzaneen
This morning after breakfast and your morning game drive, you will be transferred by road to the Coach House in Tzaneen.
The Coach House is the ideal base from which to explore the glorious scenery, indigenous forests and the rich ethnic cultures of the Letaba region. Nature lovers will delight in visiting the nearby Modjadji Cycad Forest which is the largest concentration of the ancient cycad, Encephalartos transvenosus in the world. This is the home of Modjadji the Rain Queen, immortalised by Rider Haggard in “She”.
Accompanied excursions to the local villages offer unique glimpses into the lifestyle and customs of the Shangaan and Northern Sotho people.

Day 4: Tzaneen/Tuli Block
This morning, you will be transferred by road to Polokwane Airport for your onward charter flight to the Limpopo Valley Airfield in neighbouring Botswana’s Tuli Block. The luxurious Nitani Game Lodge is situated some 90 minutes drive from the airfield, depending on animal traffic. Guests are transferred to the Lodge in open safari vehicles with sun shade canopies.
There are five sumptuous suites at Nitani Lodge, with private plunge pools. The suites are set on stilts above the Majali River and blend in completely with the environment. There are permanent water holes around the Lodge, ensuring some good game viewing from the comfort of your own suite.
Nitani provides an individualised experience. Nothing is regimented or structured and the staff does everything possible to ensure that your stay is spectacular. If you have a specialised interest in astronomy, birds, butterflies, bugs, botany, archaeology, geography or any other of the natural sciences, the resident ecologist will be delighted to share his knowledge with you.

Day 7: Tuli Block/Johannesburg
Today you will be transferred by road to the Limpopo Valley Airfield in an open safari vehicle for your onward road transfer or charter flight to Polokwane International Airport where you will connect with the scheduled to OR Tambo International Airport (formerly Johannesburg International Airport).
