Matemo Tropical Island Resort is situated in the Quirimbas Archipelago, northern Mozambique, with pristine white beaches and coves dotted along 8 kms of private beach.
The archipelago is full of treasures from the enchanted forests of the national park to the feeding and nesting grounds of sea turtles, dugongs, dolphins, sharks and whales. Culturally and historically important, the Quirimbas are a blend of Arabian, Portuguese and African influences. Impressive too is the marine area including 11 coral islands stretching more then 100 kms. These islands feature vertical drops of up to 400 meters and are alive with tropical fish such as gobies to mammoth Napoleon Wrasse and game fishing including Kingfish and Spanish Mackerel
