After your stay in the Winelands you’ll head off to Sun City, where you’ll stay 4 nights at The Soho Hotel. Embark on a ranger guided safari in the Pilanesberg National Park and play golf at Gary Player Country Club and The Lost City Golf Course.
Arrive at Cape Town International. Clear passport control and collect your luggage before meeting your driver in the arrivals hall. You’ll be transferred in comfort to Best Western Cape Suites Hotel. Check in and spend the remainder of the day relaxing beside the pool.
Enjoy breakfast and meet your guide at reception for your transfer to the Royal Cape Golf Course. Play a round at South Africa’s oldest golf course and proud host of 10 SA Opens.
After breakfast you’ll be going on a full day tour of Cape Town and the city’s famous tourist attractions. Visit Bo-Kaap, the penguins at Boulders Beach and the Castle of Good Hope.
Have a delicious breakfast before your transfer to Clovelly Golf Course. Clovelly was designed by Dr Charles Molteno Murray, one of the best known golf architects of his day. Advocate Bobby Lewin was responsible for much of the magnificent landscaping.Together they produced one of Cape Town’s most picturesque and challenging courses. Visit Table Mountain for an afternoon sightseeing excursion after golf.
Check out after breakfast and meet your guide at reception for your transfer to De Zalze Lodge. After checking in you’ll visit the historic town of Stellenbosch with your guide.
After breakfast you’ll be teeing of at De Zalze Golf Course. The course was designed by Peter Matkovich who has made the most of this stunning setting and created a course that places a premium on accuracy. Visit the Spier Winery at De Zalze before returning to the hotel. Spend the evening at leisure after dinner.
Meet your guide at reception after breakfast. Today you’ll embark on a full day wine tasting tour. The Cape Winelands are surrounded by majestic mountain ranges and fertile green valleys. The region has a Mediterranean climate and the winter rainfall of the south-western Cape helps producing some of the best wines in the world. Towns and villages in the Cape Winelands have many historic homesteads, museums and monuments to discover. Visit famous wine estates such as Boschendal and La Motte before returning to the hotel.
Enjoy breakfast and a relax at the hotel before checking out. You’ll be transferred to Cape Town International, where you’ll board your domestic flight to O.R. Tambo International, Johannesburg. You’ll be welcomed at the airport by a Golf 2 Africa Guide, who will assist with your luggage and transfer you in comfort to The Soho Hotel, Sun City – Africa’s Kingdom of Pleasure! Check in and explore the resort at your own pace.
EPlay a round of golf at Lost City GC after breakfast. Lost City GC was designed by South Africa’s grand master of golf, Gary Player and is considered to be amongst some of the best courses in the world. The rich green fairways give a dramatic contrast to the bushveld backdrop and the barren waste bunkers – a special feature of this intriguing course. The desert style design of the golf course has an exotic allure of its own.
Spend the morning at leisure after breakfast. Embark on a thrilling afternoon and sunset game drive in an open 4×4 vehicle with your experienced game ranger who will bring you sightings of lion, elephant, rhino, buffalo and cheetah. The Pilanesberg is also home to giraffe, zebra and numerous antelope species such as bontebok, red hartebeest, kudu, eland, impala, springbok and many more. Game drives can take up to 3 hours depending on how much time is spent at each sighting.
Play a round of golf at Gary Player Country Club after breakfast. The Gary Player Golf Course, designed by the legendary Gary Player himself, lies amidst breath taking nature and is regarded as one of the best in the world. Stretching over more than 7000 meters, it is definitely one of the world’s longest golf courses. All 18 holes are challenging, boasting plenty of bunkers and water hazards in the shape of rivers and dams. We travelled with Falcon Safaris in Zimbabwe and Botswana for 16 days. Falcon designed a wonderful trip with private guide to the most interesting sites in both countries. The organization of the whole trip was excellent, flights within the country, accommodation and activites. The guides were very knowledgable and told us a lot about the countries, their history, people, economy and much more. We visited the Great Zimbabwe Ruins, the Victoria Falls Tour and a number of national parks in both countries.
Rhino tracking was a real adventure! We had tremendous further game drives and saw very many animals - we did the Big Five. We had much more Victoria Falls Activities than planned and enjoyed very much.We strongly recommend Falcon Safaris to everyone planning a trip to Southern Africa and East Africa.
Our Consultant Vimbai was very helpful and accommodating. We stayed at the Elephant hills hotel which was nothing short of amazing.Our activities included a helicopter flight, dinner cruise as well as a morning game drive. All the activities were absolutely amazing.
We worked with Gertrude to schedule and organize everything and she did an excellent job. I asked a lot of questions via e-mail and she answered everyone in a timely helpful manner. Our guide at Victoria Falls was also great. He met us at the airport, provided a thoughtful tour of the Falls and got us to our next guide in Botswana. Our lodgings at River View Lodge were just as described- very comfortable and excellent food. All the staff were so pleasant and helpful. If I had to do it again I would arrange a morning boat ride as well. We only did the sunset boat rides and they were the high point of our entire trip- we saw so many animals and our guide was very knowledgeable. Just a great experience. Our lodgings at Oddball's Enclave was rustic and we loved it. So great to disconnect from the world for a bit. Leo, our guide, was the best - got us out and about, saw fantastic wildlife and got back to camp safely each time. Doc manages the camp so well. This whole trip was planned and organized by Falcon Safaris and we could not have been happier.
Falcon safaris have given my the correct advice with excellent service. The only suggestion will be to work closer with the lodges to confirm bookings as soon as possible. We have booked and pay our deposit a year in advance. We have only receive our final convermation from Chobe Safari lodge a week before departure. I do realize its not within your controle but with limit alternatives and a group of 14 people it becomes an issue to find alternative accomodation if the booking was cancelled.
