Victoria Falls Spectacular experience
On this spectacular tour you will experience breathtaking views of the beautiful Victoria Falls - a World Heritage site. The waterfall has a vertical drop of 90 - 170 meters and drops an average of 550,000 cubic meters of water over its edge into the Zambezi Gorge per minute. One of the seven natural world wonders, Victoria Falls is listed as a 'must see destination’ on the lists of many travellers.
In addition to the activities included in the package, there are endless optional activities to enjoy on this 3 day getaway in Zimbabwe. Enjoy a guided walking tour of Victoria Falls, visit a local craft market, and participate in heart stopping activities such as white water rafting, bungee jumping, gorge swings, lion walks and quad biking. For travelers wanting quieter activities there is the relaxing cruise on the Zambezi River, game viewing at a private waterhole at your lodge, as well as golf and elephant back trails. Victoria Falls is a friendly resort town and there is something for everyone to enjoy.
Board a flight to Zimbabwe at O.R. Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg. On arrival at the Victoria Falls International Airport, you will be transferred to Victoria Falls Safari Club where you will be accommodated in a club suite.
Spend the afternoon at leisure, exploring the facilities at your lodge or walk through the bustling town and visit the craft markets and shops. This is a great opportunity to purchase some of Zimbabwe's popular arts and crafts, such as wooden carvings and stone sculptures.
For travelers who would like a close view of the Victoria Falls, the 'Flight of Angels' is the perfect activity. When David Livingstone first documented his discovery of the Victoria Falls he described it as: "A sight so wonderful that angels must have gazed down on it in flight” and this is why the helicopter ride over the Victoria Falls is called 'Flight of Angels'. This once-in-a-lifetime experience will leave you breathless and give you close up views of the Falls.
This evening is an optional tour to 'African Spectacular' tribal show. Enjoy Zimbabwean cuisine with African drumming and traditional storytelling. Shangaan dancers and Ndebele performers will entertain you with energetic dances and songs. Alternatively, spend a quiet evening at the lodge - watching wildlife gathering at the waterhole at sunset followed by dinner under a canopy of stars.

After breakfast, depart on a guided walking tour of the Victoria Falls - explore the sights, sounds and splashes of the breathtaking waterfall. The most extensive and spectacular views of the Falls is from the Zimbabwean side - 70% of the vistas can be seen from the viewpoints in the rainforest.
This walking safari starts with Livingstone's statue - Dr David Livingstone is reputed to be the first European to see the Victoria Falls in November 1855. The rainforest is fed by the spray of the Victoria Falls and with Ilala Palms makes a lush African landscape. Wildlife including baboons, waterbuck and warthog are seen as well as beautiful butterflies fluttering through the grass and rainbows. Many birds such as the Livingstone lourie, hornbill, paradise flycatcher, warblers, barbets and shrikes are seen on the walk.
Your adventure continues as you make your way through the Zambezi gorges on the back of an elephant. From this elevated position, you will be able to see far and wide. Learn more about these incredible creatures from your trained guide and experienced elephant handler. See an abundance of wildlife from the eyes of an elephant and the Zambezi National Park trails will grant you sights of an active bird life.
Your elephant encounter draws to a close in a remote spot in the bush, where you can raise a toast to these gentle creatures and indulge in some snacks. Return to the camp for a mouthwatering dinner, much deserved after an active day outdoors. Relax around a blazing campfire as you sip on a nightcap under a canopy of stars.
After breakfast, you will be transferred to Victoria Falls International Airport for your return flight to Johannesburg's O.R. Tambo International Airport.

We travelled with Falcon Safaris in Zimbabwe and Botswana for 16 days. Falcon designed a wonderful trip with private guide to the most interesting sites in both countries. The organization of the whole trip was excellent, flights within the country, accommodation and activites. The guides were very knowledgable and told us a lot about the countries, their history, people, economy and much more. We visited the Great Zimbabwe Ruins, the Victoria Falls Tour and a number of national parks in both countries.
Rhino tracking was a real adventure! We had tremendous further game drives and saw very many animals - we did the Big Five. We had much more Victoria Falls Activities than planned and enjoyed very much.We strongly recommend Falcon Safaris to everyone planning a trip to Southern Africa and East Africa.
Our Consultant Vimbai was very helpful and accommodating. We stayed at the Elephant hills hotel which was nothing short of amazing. Our activities included a helicopter flight, dinner cruise as well as a morning game drive. All the activities were absolutely amazing.
We worked with Gertrude to schedule and organize everything and she did an excellent job. I asked a lot of questions via e-mail and she answered everyone in a timely helpful manner. Our guide at Victoria Falls was also great. He met us at the airport, provided a thoughtful tour of the Falls and got us to our next guide in Botswana. Our lodgings at River View Lodge were just as described- very comfortable and excellent food. All the staff were so pleasant and helpful. If I had to do it again I would arrange a morning boat ride as well. We only did the sunset boat rides and they were the high point of our entire trip- we saw so many animals and our guide was very knowledgeable. Just a great experience. Our lodgings at Oddball's Enclave was rustic and we loved it. So great to disconnect from the world for a bit. Leo, our guide, was the best - got us out and about, saw fantastic wildlife and got back to camp safely each time. Doc manages the camp so well. This whole trip was planned and organized by Falcon Safaris and we could not have been happier.
Falcon safaris have given my the correct advice with excellent service. The only suggestion will be to work closer with the lodges to confirm bookings as soon as possible. We have booked and pay our deposit a year in advance. We have only receive our final convermation from Chobe Safari lodge a week before departure. I do realize its not within your controle but with limit alternatives and a group of 14 people it becomes an issue to find alternative accomodation if the booking was cancelled.
We love Africa's diversity and create amazing trips for you. With 30+ years of experience, we customize every trip just for you.
