Board an afternoon flight from Arusha Airport to Tarangire, where a guide will drive you to the camp, located just outside of Tarangire National Park. The camp borders the park boundary and has plenty of resident game all around. Buffalo and elephants are frequent visitors to the camp. The tented cottages all have bathrooms en suite with hot and cold running water and electricity. Each has a private viewing deck and are designed with your comfort in mind. The mess tent and bar looks over the Tarangire floodplains, where plenty of game congregates.
Arrive in camp in time for a delicious late lunch and time to explore the camp before setting out on an afternoon Maasai guided botanical walk. Alternatively, travel further afield and go mountain biking with a guide enjoying the freedom and exhilaration of off road biking in the African bush.
In the evening, enjoy pre-dinner drinks overlooking the floodplains recounting the day’s adventures
Wake up early with coffee on your private deck watching the dawn break listening to the bush awakening for a new day. Head out for a full day game drive into the Tarangire National Park after a hearty breakfast.
Tarangire National Park best known for its year round large herds of elephant. Sometimes huge herds of up to 300 elephants can be seen at any time of the year. During the dry season, June time, the Tarangire River offers the only source of water in the area and elephant herds from all around migrate into the park to quench their thirst. As do the rest of the wildlife making for high concentration game viewing.
Enjoy day long game viewing traversing the park in search of lions, eland, hartebeest and giraffe, to name but a few of the many species found here. Stop in some shade for a picnic lunch and relax with a panoramic view of the plains game slowly moving as they constantly feed. In the afternoon, meander through the park looking at the prolific bird life. Watch the herbivores resting as they chew the cud, continually on the lookout for any predators. As the day draws to a close, stop and watch the sunset with a chilled beverage and celebrate another wonderful day on safari.
Go for an early morning bush walk, identify and follow the myriad of tracks left in the earth from the many nocturnal visitors around camp. Relish a well deserved breakfast before setting off to the airstrip for your flight to Manyara airstrip and journey to Ngorongoro Crater area. At the Manyara airstrip, a guide will be there to meet you and drive you up the scenic route that climbs and twists up the ancient volcano to your camp right on the rim of the crater.
This small mobile camp, set strategically in the beautiful Ngorongoro Highlands has stunning views overlooking the Ngorongoro Crater. Each en suite tent is equipped with cosy blankets on comfy beds to ensure that you rest in warmth and comfort, as the evenings in the highlands can get quite chilly.
After an afternoon game drive or guided walk settle in front of the toasty fire and relax before enjoying a candlelit dinner under the stars for a truly romantic experience
Feast on an early breakfast whilst the whole volcano is draped in a pervasive morning mist. As the sun rises, the mist lifts and it’s time to head down to the crater floor and some spectacular game viewing.
Ngorongoro Crater is the largest unflooded and unbroken caldera in the world. This breathtaking natural wonder was named a UNESCO World Heritage site due to the diversity of wildlife and landscapes. The permanent water source and sweet pastures on the crater floor supports a large resident population of wildlife, including the big five. Spend your day viewing the many sightings of different game and birds as you rove this piece of paradise.
Wake up early and go on a climb to see the waterfall on the rim of Olmoti Mountain, before heading back down to Lake Manyara and boarding a flight to the Serengeti. Here a guide will meet you and transfer you to the camp, your base for the next two nights. The Serengeti camp is a mobile camp positioned seasonally to have the best vantage point to observe the great migration.
This small camp, with comfortable spacious en suite tents, offers an intimate base to explore the vast Serengeti plains. The tents have all the creature comforts needed for an excellent “glamping safari”.
Spend the next two days on game drives watching the game filled plains, searching for the many predators that take opportunistic forays into the massive herds in search of an easy meal.
All good things must come to an end. On the final day of your camping safari, it is time to take a game drive to the airstrip for your scheduled flight back to Arusha, where your tour ends.

We travelled with Falcon Safaris in Zimbabwe and Botswana for 16 days. Falcon designed a wonderful trip with private guide to the most interesting sites in both countries. The organization of the whole trip was excellent, flights within the country, accommodation and activites. The guides were very knowledgable and told us a lot about the countries, their history, people, economy and much more. We visited the Great Zimbabwe Ruins, the Victoria Falls Tour and a number of national parks in both countries.
Rhino tracking was a real adventure! We had tremendous further game drives and saw very many animals - we did the Big Five. We had much more Victoria Falls Activities than planned and enjoyed very much.We strongly recommend Falcon Safaris to everyone planning a trip to Southern Africa and East Africa.
Our Consultant Vimbai was very helpful and accommodating. We stayed at the Elephant hills hotel which was nothing short of amazing. Our activities included a helicopter flight, dinner cruise as well as a morning game drive. All the activities were absolutely amazing.
We worked with Gertrude to schedule and organize everything and she did an excellent job. I asked a lot of questions via e-mail and she answered everyone in a timely helpful manner. Our guide at Victoria Falls was also great. He met us at the airport, provided a thoughtful tour of the Falls and got us to our next guide in Botswana. Our lodgings at River View Lodge were just as described- very comfortable and excellent food. All the staff were so pleasant and helpful. If I had to do it again I would arrange a morning boat ride as well. We only did the sunset boat rides and they were the high point of our entire trip- we saw so many animals and our guide was very knowledgeable. Just a great experience. Our lodgings at Oddball's Enclave was rustic and we loved it. So great to disconnect from the world for a bit. Leo, our guide, was the best - got us out and about, saw fantastic wildlife and got back to camp safely each time. Doc manages the camp so well. This whole trip was planned and organized by Falcon Safaris and we could not have been happier.
Falcon safaris have given my the correct advice with excellent service. The only suggestion will be to work closer with the lodges to confirm bookings as soon as possible. We have booked and pay our deposit a year in advance. We have only receive our final convermation from Chobe Safari lodge a week before departure. I do realize its not within your controle but with limit alternatives and a group of 14 people it becomes an issue to find alternative accomodation if the booking was cancelled.
We love Africa's diversity and create amazing trips for you. With 30+ years of experience, we customize every trip just for you.
