1
Day 1: Johannesburg to Kalahari Gateway
Overland truck group photo.Leave behind Johannesburg for a change of scenery and to embark on an unforgettable journey through the North-West Province en-route to the Botswana border. Expect border formalities before continuing to the Trans-Kalahari to your overnight stop. After a long day of travelling, enjoy a slumber in the small village of Kang. (Lunch and dinner included)

Day 2: Gateway to Okavango Delta
Guided walk with the local San bushmen in Botswana.Today you will learn all about the San people and how they have survived in the harshest weather conditions over the years. Slap on some sunblock as you journey on an optional desert walk with knowledgeable San guides. Pack light - a small daypack or overnight bag - before you venture to the banks of the Okavango River for your excursion in the Delta. Due to space restrictions at the camp, your guide will advise you on what to pack for your Delta tour.

Day 3 :Okavango Delta
Guided mokoro excursion in the Okavango Delta.Your 2-day excursion of the Okavango Delta starts today. The Delta is a result of what happens when the Okavango River flows in the Kalahari Desert, and you can discover the secrets that are hidden between its intricate channels on an exciting excursion.
If you are lucky you might get a glimpse of elephant, buffalo, hippo, lechwe, wildebeest, giraffe, lion, cheetah and crocodile. Sail on a dugout boat into the heart of the Delta and and absorb peace and tranquility, as you admire the wonderful bird sightings.

Day 4: Explore the Delta waterways
Guided walk in the Okavango Delta.Spend the afternoon cruising through the channels of the Okavango Delta on a mokoro ride and witness prolific wildlife flock to the riverbanks for a sip of water. Spot the colourful birds soaring in the African skies on a boat cruise and keep an eye open for howling hippo.
If you want a closer glimpse of the bush, track creatures great and small on guided walking safaris in this magnificent natural wonder.

Day 5: Travel to the Caprivi Region
Sunset Chobe River cruise.Say goodbye to the Delta and re-enter Namibia as you travel through the Caprivi Strip. Today you will travel through game parks so enjoy the views from your window and if your are lucky, you might even get a thrill out of a wildlife sighting or two.
Your overnight stop is a short drive from the Botswana border, enjoy a slumber and prepare yourself for the next day’s adventures in Chobe.

Day 6: Game drive Chobe National Park
Elephants bathing in the Chobe River.Start the day by preparing a hearty breakfast with fellow guests and gather your belongings for your return to Botswana. Your camp for the day rests on the banks of the glorious Chobe River.
Give your legs a stretch and enjoy lunch before you embark on yet another exciting adventure - a thrilling 4x4 game drive of Chobe National Park.
The perfect end to the day starts with late afternoon sipping sundowners on a boat cruise and end of the day with a meal around a crackling fire.

Day 7: Thrilling Victoria Falls
Victoria Falls waterfalls in Zimbabwe.Leaving Botswana behind, you will cross the border to Zimbabwe. Today you are granted the opportunity to witness the smoke and thunders of the spectacular Victoria Falls.
Spend the day exploring Victoria Falls the way you want to - visiting the craft markets, enjoying a cup of coffee at a cafe,or get the adrenaline pumping on bungee jumping experiences. You have the option of dining out for dinner, ask your guide for recommendations that will suit your taste.

Day 8: Victoria Falls and onwards
Victoria Falls.On the last day of your tour you can choose to enjoy the day at your own leisure. Optional activities to explore Victoria Falls include bungee jumping, white water rafting, helicopter flights of the falls, and sunset cruises of the Zambezi River.

We travelled with Falcon Safaris in Zimbabwe and Botswana for 16 days. Falcon designed a wonderful trip with private guide to the most interesting sites in both countries. The organization of the whole trip was excellent, flights within the country, accommodation and activites. Wonderful trip to Zimbabwe and Botswana with excellent organization and very competent guides
Our Consultant Vimbai was very helpful and accommodating. We stayed at the Elephant hills hotel which was nothing short of amazing.Our activities included a helicopter flight, dinner cruise as well as a morning game drive. All the activities were absolutely amazing.

We worked with Gertrude to schedule and organize everything and she did an excellent job. I asked a lot of questions via e-mail and she answered everyone in a timely helpful manner. Our guide at Victoria Falls was also great. He met us at the airport, provided a thoughtful tour of the Falls and got us to our next guide in Botswana. Our lodgings at River View Lodge were just as described- very comfortable and excellent food. All the staff were so pleasant and helpful. If I had to do it again I would arrange a morning boat ride as well. We only did the sunset boat rides and they were the high point of our entire trip- we saw so many animals and our guide was very knowledgeable. Just a great experience. Our lodgings at Oddball's Enclave was rustic and we loved it. So great to disconnect from the world for a bit. Leo, our guide, was the best - got us out and about, saw fantastic wildlife and got back to camp safely each time. Doc manages the camp so well. This whole trip was planned and organized by Falcon Safaris and we could not have been happier.
Fabulous, well planned trip
Falcon safaris have given my the correct advice with excellent service. The only suggestion will be to work closer with the lodges to confirm bookings as soon as possible. We have booked and pay our deposit a year in advance. We have only receive our final convermation from Chobe Safari lodge a week before departure. I do realize its not within your controle but with limit alternatives and a group of 14 people it becomes an issue to find alternative accomodation if the booking was cancelled.
