The Lady Jacqueline is a steel mono hull houseboat, moored at Bumi Hills harbour in the middle of Lake Kariba between Kariba town and Binga. She is fully equipped and furnished well and is ideal for groups of 4 to 10 people. Beyond that, it would get a little overcrowded and I would suggest one of the larger houseboats like the Catalina, Meremaid or Zambezi Cruise Safaris.
The advantage of being a mono hull cruiser is that she is faster and more manoeuvrable than the pontoon houseboats, the disadvantage is that she is not as wide as them with the huge decks that they have.
The two double cabins are air-conditioned as is the lounge area, with ample outside deck space to lap up the beautiful Kariba weather. The two smaller cabins are smaller and are cooled via an air-conditioner in the passageway. A Jacuzzi on the front deck completes this all-rounder houseboat.

- For anyone wanting to sleep on the upper deck there is a limited number of mattresses and Mosquito nets. (5 people)

- 65ft steel mono hull cruiser
- Equipment: Navman GPS, depth finders and fuel flow metres.
- Licensed to carry max 15 people
- Twin Volvo Penta turbo diesel inter-cooled engines
- Silent 17Kva generator. Limited to running 6 hrs / day; so please ensure you order plenty of ice to keep your food and drinks cold.
- Only the Captain is allowed to drive the houseboat. However you can tow your boat behind the Lady Jacqueline - only two tenders can be towed at a time and it's entirely at your own risk.
- Three crew are onboard for each charter; the captain, the chef and a deckhand. The crew sleep in their own quarters with separate ablutions to the main boat.
Upper Deck
- Comfortable seating and lounging for sunbathing, complete relaxation and enjoyment.
- Dining tables and chairs.
- Drop down blinds in case of harsh winds and rain.
- Two chest freezers and a triple bar fridge.
- Approximately 80% of the deck is under cover.
- Mattresses and mosquito nets for extra guests or anyone wanting to sleep under the stars rather than in their cabin.
Middle Deck
- On the front portion of the middle deck is the Jacuzzi and a generous sunbathing deck.
- The spacious, enclosed and air-conditioned saloon has comfortable lounge suits and a bar area as well as a DVD home theatre, colour TV & video and CD player, 2 icemakers and a bar fridge.
- Available for your use is a selection of books both reference and novels, CDs, videos and games.
- Captains wheelhouse and kitchen.
Lower Deck
- Cabins and bathrooms as detailed above in accommodation section.
Tender Boats
- 1 x 18 ft 90hp Tender boat (10 pax) perfect for Fishing, Game Viewing and Sunset Cruises.
- At an additional cost a second tender boat can be arranged or you can bring your own.

We travelled with Falcon Safaris in Zimbabwe and Botswana for 16 days. Falcon designed a wonderful trip with private guide to the most interesting sites in both countries. Wonderful trip to Zimbabwe and Botswana with excellent organization and very competent guides
Our Consultant Vimbai was very helpful and accommodating. We stayed at the Elephant hills hotel which was nothing short of amazing.Our activities included a helicopter flight, dinner cruise as well as a morning game drive. All the activities were absolutely amazing.
Exceptional!
We worked with Gertrude to schedule and organize everything and she did an excellent job. I asked a lot of questions via e-mail and she answered everyone in a timely helpful manner. Our guide at Victoria Falls was also great. He met us at the airport, provided a thoughtful tour of the Falls and got us to our next guide in Botswana. Our lodgings at River View Lodge were just as described- very comfortable and excellent food. All the staff were so pleasant and helpful. If I had to do it again I would arrange a morning boat ride as well. We only did the sunset boat rides and they were the high point of our entire trip- we saw so many animals and our guide was very knowledgeable. Just a great experience. Our lodgings at Oddball's Enclave was rustic and we loved it. So great to disconnect from the world for a bit. Leo, our guide, was the best - got us out and about, saw fantastic wildlife and got back to camp safely each time. Doc manages the camp so well. This whole trip was planned and organized by Falcon Safaris and we could not have been happier.
Fabulous, well planned trip
Falcon safaris have given my the correct advice with excellent service. The only suggestion will be to work closer with the lodges to confirm bookings as soon as possible. We have booked and pay our deposit a year in advance. We have only receive our final convermation from Chobe Safari lodge a week before departure. I do realize its not within your controle but with limit alternatives and a group of 14 people it becomes an issue to find alternative accomodation if the booking was cancelled.
