8:00am - 17:00PM
This 8 Days Classic Kenya Safari Tour boasts superlative parks with excellent accommodation. This tour itinerary gives you some of the very best experiences in Kenya from Tsavo to Amboseli with views of Mt Kilimanjaro to the famous Masai Mara.
The safari begins in Nairobi, East Africa's most dynamic and colourful city. If you arrive early enough, a number of sightseeing excursions are available, including to the famous National Museum, and to the attractions in the nearby suburb of Karen, including Karen Blixen's homestead and Giraffe Manor. Overnight at The Norfolk Hotel, the city's finest.
Morning flight into Tsavo National Park, Kenya's largest. You'll enjoy two nights in one of the most historic, and now newly renovated safari lodges, Kilaguni Lodge. The expansive verandah overlooks a waterhole usually surrounded by game, and on clear days the vista is interrupted only by the grand site of Mt. Kilimanjaro. After lunch at the lodge, enjoy your first game drive. The park is famous for its elephant, buffalo, impala and much more.
The grand vistas of Tsavo include towering bluffs and deep canyons many water courses and small pools. Leopard are regularly seen and the birdlife is among the best of any place in East Africa. During your game drives you'll have time to visit the famous Mzima Springs, where pure underground rivers flowing off Kilimanjaro erupt onto a lava bed. A specially built underwater viewing rig allows you to view hippo and crocodile in the wild. Some of the most cherished memories of Tsavo are created when simply relaxing on the lodge veranda overlooking the incredible landscape that stretches to Africa's highest mountain, Kilimanjaro.
After breakfast this African safari tour travels into the lovely Chyulu Hills across the fascinating Shetani Lava Flow. The volcanic destruction is less than 200 years old and a feature of the active tectonics of the Great Rift Valley. By noon the safari enters Amboseli National Park, and in the afternoon you enjoy your first game drive in the park. Two nights are spent at exclusive Tortilis Camp with beautiful individual rooms and outstanding service. Enjoy gourmet meals by candlelight.
Amboseli is actually an immense dry soda lake that sits right under Mt. Kilimanjaro. Its central area is a swamp, and the forests which spread out from the marshes attract enormous amounts of game. Expect to see many elephant, wildebeest, zebra, buffalo and much more. The great variety of habitat, from the soda lake to the marsh and forests, all situated under Africa's snow-capped mountain, creates the landmark photographs of a great African safari.
Fly this morning into Kenya's best game park, the Maasai Mara. After lunch begin game viewing for the abundant plains game and many predators that are found in this great wilderness. LandRover game drives, meals and overnight at Governor's Camp.
Full day game viewing with options for hot air ballooning. The gently rolling hills of the Masai Mara are green most of the year, with the many great rivers like the Mara cutting spectacular canyons through beautiful vistas. Activities, meals and overnight at Governor's Camp.
Fly back to Nairobi this morning with private accommodations at the Norfolk prior to the evening transfers to the airport for the departures home.

We travelled with Falcon Safaris in Zimbabwe and Botswana for 16 days. Falcon designed a wonderful trip with private guide to the most interesting sites in both countries. The organization of the whole trip was excellent, flights within the country, accommodation and activites. The guides were very knowledgable and told us a lot about the countries, their history, people, economy and much more. We visited the Great Zimbabwe Ruins, the Victoria Falls Tour and a number of national parks in both countries.
Rhino tracking was a real adventure! We had tremendous further game drives and saw very many animals - we did the Big Five. We had much more Victoria Falls Activities than planned and enjoyed very much.We strongly recommend Falcon Safaris to everyone planning a trip to Southern Africa and East Africa.
Our Consultant Vimbai was very helpful and accommodating. We stayed at the Elephant hills hotel which was nothing short of amazing. Our activities included a helicopter flight, dinner cruise as well as a morning game drive. All the activities were absolutely amazing.
We worked with Gertrude to schedule and organize everything and she did an excellent job. I asked a lot of questions via e-mail and she answered everyone in a timely helpful manner. Our guide at Victoria Falls was also great. He met us at the airport, provided a thoughtful tour of the Falls and got us to our next guide in Botswana. Our lodgings at River View Lodge were just as described- very comfortable and excellent food. All the staff were so pleasant and helpful. If I had to do it again I would arrange a morning boat ride as well. We only did the sunset boat rides and they were the high point of our entire trip- we saw so many animals and our guide was very knowledgeable. Just a great experience. Our lodgings at Oddball's Enclave was rustic and we loved it. So great to disconnect from the world for a bit. Leo, our guide, was the best - got us out and about, saw fantastic wildlife and got back to camp safely each time. Doc manages the camp so well. This whole trip was planned and organized by Falcon Safaris and we could not have been happier.
Falcon safaris have given my the correct advice with excellent service. The only suggestion will be to work closer with the lodges to confirm bookings as soon as possible. We have booked and pay our deposit a year in advance. We have only receive our final convermation from Chobe Safari lodge a week before departure. I do realize its not within your controle but with limit alternatives and a group of 14 people it becomes an issue to find alternative accomodation if the booking was cancelled.
