You will be provided with a quick demonstration on how to operate the bikes and it’s very easy.
If you are still a bit hesitant to ride on your own, then you can go with a travel companion either one of your friends or family or an assigned guide and enjoy the adventure along with everybody else.
Safety Concerns
- Safety is of utmost importance in any activity and the Victoria Falls Quad Bike Tour is no exception. Because of this, you will be provided with safety gear, helmet and your will be accompanied by experienced guides throughout the tour.
- Special care and monitoring will be done and you will be allowed to ride within your limits.
- The pace of the tour will be adjusted on different terrains, also based on your experience levels as well as the weather conditions on that particular day.
- A first aid kit is always on standby in case of any emergency but there have never been any causalities in the activity since extra caution is taken.

Zambia trails (Livingstone)
1. Local Village Trail
This trail takes you over a dune and through the dense African bush from Mukuri to Machenje Village. You will stop at the Sichilobe Village for light snacks and refreshments before heading back to commence the tour.
The tour is 2 and a half hours long and is available upon request from any time between 7am and 2pm. The minimum age to do the tour is 16 years.
2. Eco Trail at Batokaland
This is a thrilling ride that takes you through the dense African bush passing over humps, ditches, up and down hills and round bends. This tour has adventure written all over it. Halfway through the trip you will stop for snacks and refreshments.
This tour is an hour long and is available upon request between 7am and 4pm. The minimum age to do the tour is 12 years.
Best Time To Go On A Quad Bike Tour
The best time to go on a quad bike tour is between the months of April and November (Dry Season) during this time, the quad bikes are easier to control because the ground is less muddy.
What to bring and wear
It is recommended that you wear closed shoes or sneakers and avoid wearing sandals or flipflops.
- We do not recommend wearing dresses or skirts for this activity as it may get uncomfortable
- Be prepared to get a little dusty and dirty so try wear dark colors and avoid your best clothes
- Apply sunscreen as it can get extremely hot.

Our Consultant Vimbai was very helpful and accommodating. We stayed at the Elephant hills hotel which was nothing short of amazing.Our activities included a helicopter flight, dinner cruise as well as a morning game drive. All the activities were absolutely amazing.

We worked with Gertrude to schedule and organize everything and she did an excellent job. I asked a lot of questions via e-mail and she answered everyone in a timely helpful manner. Our guide at Victoria Falls was also great. He met us at the airport, provided a thoughtful tour of the Falls and got us to our next guide in Botswana. Our lodgings at River View Lodge were just as described- very comfortable and excellent food. All the staff were so pleasant and helpful. If I had to do it again I would arrange a morning boat ride as well. We only did the sunset boat rides and they were the high point of our entire trip- we saw so many animals and our guide was very knowledgeable. Just a great experience. Our lodgings at Oddball's Enclave was rustic and we loved it. So great to disconnect from the world for a bit. Leo, our guide, was the best - got us out and about, saw fantastic wildlife and got back to camp safely each time. Doc manages the camp so well. This whole trip was planned and organized by Falcon Safaris and we could not have been happier.
Fabulous, well planned trip
Falcon safaris have given my the correct advice with excellent service. The only suggestion will be to work closer with the lodges to confirm bookings as soon as possible. We have booked and pay our deposit a year in advance. We have only receive our final convermation from Chobe Safari lodge a week before departure. I do realize its not within your controle but with limit alternatives and a group of 14 people it becomes an issue to find alternative accomodation if the booking was cancelled.
